Battle Log of Operation 513 for Toowong on Tuesday Feb 28th, 2023 from 1330 – 1500

Today was quite hot. Everybody hid behind the bus station shed. Bus frequent arrival made toady gospel sharing a bit difficult. We anyway still managed to reach out to as many people as possible including those initially reluctant ones. Recap below is the Battle Log of Hung.

1) First I was led to approach a man from China who initially pretend to be non-Chinese speaking. After I switched to English, he then spoke with me in Chinese. but in a very unfriendly manner expressing his dislike to talk about religious issue. I guided him to treat it as a cross cultural life issue and shared a bit of my own life testimony. At the end, the Spirit did soften his heart to listen to the gospel in full. It was surprised his bus did not turn up after a long long while. After I finished my sharing and switch to share with next person, I noticed he was reading the tract attentively. Praise be to the Lord for answering our prayer.

2) Then I connected with a young man from Norway. He quickly indicated he is a Christian. But he his assurance of salvation is only 90% which was clarified.

3) Next, I caught up with two Fijian ladies of Hinduism background. Yet they were both open to the gospel and appeared both a good two listener. I just managed to shared with them the conclusion that no one can go to heaven unless you are perfect and gave them both a tract.

4) Sauron is a Australian born Scandinavian boy still ding grade 11 at SMT private college. He is open to gospel and appeared fully receptive to the need of the salvation of Jesus.

5) Then I approached a Canadian of Vietnamese background. He was open to the gospel and took a tract when the bus came quickly.

6) Then I connected with a Girl from cairn but her origin is from PNG with Netherlands blood. Again she is a very open to gospel and show receptiveness to the salvation of Jesus.

7) Finally I shared gospel with an Indian lady who was also open to gospel.

Battle Log of Operation 513 for Toowong on Tuesday Feb 21st, 2023 from 1330 – 1500

The long queue at the Toowong Bus station appeared again today. It was both a good and bad things for our outreach. It was good we could randomly pick anyone in the queue, but the conversation could not guarantee to last long as once an empty bus came, everybody will be taken away quickly. But even if the bus did not come quick, it was less focus for both the gospel targets and people around as out gospel sharing will be under the scrutiny of a wider public not giving them more privacy to ponder the message. Nevertheless, both Winnie and Hung had a good handful chance to share, though not without exception that some rejection with a cold shoulder were faced. It anyway did not deter our spirit and boldness to keep proclaim good news for Christ. Again, a good mixed of people groups were outreached i.e., Indonesia, Chinese, Scottish, Mexico, Aussie, Korean etc. Recap below is the Battle Log of Hung. queue at the Toowong Bus station appeared again today. It anyway did not deter our spirit and boldness to keep proclaim good news for Christ. Again, a good mixed of people groups were outreached i.e., Indonesia, Chinese, Scottish, Mexico, Aussie, Korean etc. Recap below is the Battle Log of Hung.

1) Two Chinese guys pretending they do not speak Chinese but still were not that mean to reject my sharing, so I share them the full gospel as the bus was late and people around all heard the good news. They tried to shut their ears but eventually, the facial expression told me that they heard and understood the gospel and have not reason to reject it.

2) Then I went to the end of the queue to pick up an Indonesia girl. She obviously is a Muslim, but still was open enough for the gospel.

3) Then after the long waiting queue was cleared up by two pick up bus, a Scottish woman was left behind. She actually is from a Christian family originally lived in Namibia. She has now just come to join her son living in St Lucia. We had a long chat and her faith was pure with assurance of salivation.

4) An Aussie girl just only had minimum tine for the nutshell of the gospel and the conclusion for the "Good Person" question.

5) Then I was led to connect with Milani a Mexico Catholic girl. We had a not long but not short conversation as I could identify with her that my father was born in Mexico and in the middle age era, he worked in El Salvador for 10 years. Basically, she is of Catholic background so she did not have much objection apart from the concept of assurance of salvation. Our conversation got cut short when her friends came to reunite with her for shopping.

6) Then I shared with a Korean man and he seemed to be a non-believer as he did not show great empathy with the gospel message. He anyway took a tract when his bus came.

7) Yvonne a CCCCB members recognized us for the consecutive week and kept apologising for not being able to enrol in the Kairos Online Class.

8 ) Jack seemed to be a Christian showing no sign of rejection of the gospel. Just no time to clarify his Christian status as the bus came a bit earlier.

9) Then I caught up with a young from Cairn. He was also very receptive to the gospel as such he voluntarily took a picture with his own camera and then my turn to take a selfie one.

10) Last but not the least, I was moved to approach a funky girl with a nose ring. She showed no objection for me to share but showing me a face of indifference.

Battle Log of Operation 513 for Toowong on Tuesday Feb 14th 2023 from 1330 – 1500

It was yet another evidence of God's providence and protection when we serve Him in Street outreach. Storm warning was forecasted in the afternoon, but we normally do not pay much attention to it as the forecast normally is not specific enough and we always could avoid the adverse weather which usually happens after we finished. Today the big storm did come a bit earlier. Winnie and I teamed up to serve at Toowong bus stop. The dark thunderstorm cloud was advancing suddenly in quicker speed, but we both sensed the looming danger of the storm and left the Toowong Bus stop just in time back to the Toowong shopping Village. I left immediately driving home and the storm did come down battering everything and with Hail. Visibility was down to near zero because of heavy rain that kept pounding on the car not just vertically but from all direction because of the strong wind. Branches of trees fell off everywhere. But God's sure protection was with me guiding me to get off from the freeway to the suburban roads with less traffic and drove home safe at slow speed with hails pounding on the car yet I arrived home with car and person unscathed. Winnie also went home safe though taking a much longer time. Our shortened street outreach was also fruitful as recap below: -

1) I first approached Austin a young man with T shirt full of Japan's element. He was opened to the gospel and clicked with me through same favouritism for Japan Culture. It was a pity the bus came too quick to cut short our conversation.

2) Then I was moved to pick up Ahmet from Dubai as I could share with him my experience transiting Dubai to Turkey. He was amazingly opened to the gospel and could identify with the reflection brought by the Turkey earthquake that, human beings are too limited and vulnerable to face unpredictable natural disaster. We should not le t slip the Chance for recognizing the real important life issue on addressing sin and judgment after death. He showed full endorsement to the gospel I shared and happily took a selfie with me. I prayed that I could meet him again later to follow up on his decision on making the last step of faith.

3) Then I was led to approach two girls, one from Hong Kong and another from Singapore. Both were also very open despite they don’t not have religious adherence.

4) Then I joined the conversation that Winnie had with three young men from China two are from Jiangso, Nanjin and Sozhou. Winnie kept sharing in English with the third guy while I chatted with the other two in Mandarin. They were exceptionally opened and appeared receptive to the Gospel especially can identify with the desperate status if the victim in the Turkey earthquake and acknowledged it should be a soul searching moment for people facing the challenges of life and death.

5) Then I connected with an arrogant ABC from USA who initially just wanted to brush me off. But I was moved to share the nutshell of the Gospel and he failed to find words or logic to reject the sensible message of salvation. He found refuge when the bus came to bring him away.

6) I was moved to catch up with a girl from Norway. She was indifferent to the issue of faith thought remained friendly to allow me to keep sharing the whole Gospel message.

7) Finally, I connected with Jack a fair dinkum Aussie with generation dated back to the first fleet as the descendant of the convict. Again, he was very opened to the gospel and had sensible interaction showing good reception of the Christian faith. I pray also to be able to meet him again in future.

Battle Log of Operation 513 for Toowong on Tuesday Feb 7th 2023 from 1330 – 1500

Today the Toowong outreach team of two returned to normal though still waiting for Johnny to come back in March. There were practically more Chinese student and some of them were more approachable than usual. Also we met a couple of people who met the OPN 513 guys in the city. So, the collective work of OPN 513 team is really serving as a net to catch all the lost soul and made them a fish for God in Christ.

Recap below is the Battle Log of Hung: -

1) An exchange student from Nanning was moving house and her go card was out of money as such she was blogged down at the bus stop waiting for Go card be charged up as well as friend to come. I made use of this gap to have a good chat with her though with intermittent interruption by Phone and finally by the arrival of her friend. I still managed to share the full gospel to her and partially to her friend who came for her rescue.

2) Then came across a Chinese male student who appeared open for gospel sharing. He anyhow shared that he heard the gospel already in the city and before I want to follow up how clear did he know about it, the bus came.

3) A beard man appeared also friendly for a chat but his accent is too heavy I could get what he said. I just managed to share him the nutshell of the gospel before he had to rush away for the bus.

4) Then I caught up with a girl from Sichuan so I could identify with her about the 2008 earthquake. She used to live in the Chengdu city where the damage by the earthquake was minimal. . With this rapport built, she appeared as a good listener and show good receptiveness to the gospel message.

5) Another guy by the name of Wong also claimed he heard the gospel at the city and was even being brought to attend a church. . I thanked God and asked to take a picture for Ryan's name to check if you guy recognize him.

6) Sam yet another good listener who is an Australian Born British whose parents were from Bristol UK. He was reading a book but willingly allowed me to interrupt him and shared him the full gospel message.

7) Finally, the first non-Chinese target form Malaysian of Muslim background. She has all the biased ideas a about Jesus but at least I told her who Jesus really is and it was Him not Mohamad to die for our sin. Yet her mind was deeply poisoned to insist that Jesus was born by Mary as an ordinary human being. This biased thought never appeared in any gospel conversation I had in Turkey. So the religious theology about Muslim and the wrong teaching on Jesus are more serious in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Battle Log of Operation 513 for Toowong on Tuesday January 31sth 2023 from 1330 – 1500

I was caught up in another ministry as such I original told Winnie Restarting of Street Outreach at Toowong will bae deferred to next week. But she and her husband had already planned to come to Brisbane also for other errands, so Winnie decided to go solo to restart Street Outreach at Toowong. Recap below was her Battle Log which basically was a very fruitful one. Praise and thanks God for her faithfulness to serve.

Battle Log of Operation 513 for Toowong on Tuesday Nov 29th 2022 from 1330 – 1500

Praise be to the Lord, Chi Ming and Di Tsuen kept coming and brought along Lily Zhou and Husband Chang. Lily was a spiritual Fruit of Chi Ming who brought her to join the Sherwood Methodist Church and discipled by Johnny. Her husband not yet a Christian but started to have interest to explore and pursuit God. That was the reason they were invited to meet with us and after we started, Di Tsuen found a quite place in Toowong village to share the gospel to the non0beiver husband MR Chang. So God is good and in control of all things and for sure he is with us when we march out to do outreach for him. There were less people flow perhaps because of Uni holiday. I basically gave more chances to Winnie as such I got less chat as recap below: -

1) The First guy I approached recognized me and claimed that he had five tracts collected already. I still took time to test his response to the calling to receive Christ but the bus cut short our conversation.

2) Dave an ABC of Cross Chinese and Aussie blood who looks almost like Dolly's sons. He appeared friendly as his dad is from Hong Kong. Yet he appeared a bit skeptical on Gospel message but still happy to listen to it.

3) A young lady by the sure name Chang is from Hebei coming here for pure tourism. Her last stop was at New York. And She said she heard the same gospel many times in NY. I praise the Lord for such street outreach also happening in USA. But she still has not yet got a complete understanding of the gospel and thought ticket to Heaven has to be earned by being a Christian. It was a pity the bus arrival cut our conversation short.

4) Jason is from USA and was once a Christian but not now as he had a lot of rationalized minded questions such as the definition of sin to challenge God and the Christian faith. But the good thing is he was adopting a serious attitude to pursuit truth. He promised to continue our discussion next week hopeful God will lead us to meet again.

5) Ann is from Sri Lanka and was very receptive to listen though she claims to be a Buddhist follower. She understands the gospel and found no loop hole to deny we are all sinners and need God's mercy for salivation from the eternal punishment of sins.

Battle Log of Operation 513 for Toowong on Tuesday Nov 22nd 2022 from 1330 – 1500

Hurrah, Chi Ming Lin and Di Tseun Zeng couples from Taiwan re-joined the Toowong team today. We praise and thanks God for their faithfulness to come as soon as they arrived in Brisbane after a gap year of 3 ever since the pandemic happened. They chose to hand out tract near the main entrance of the Toowong Village on the Sherwood Rod front. Winnie and I team up to do the Bus stop as usual. Both of us got many divine appointments to share gospel to people of all Nations, including Korean, Brazilian, Indonesian, Singaporean, Local Aussie, and Australian Born Chinese from Cairns. Ouch, just noticed that there was no Chinese in the list and I remembered all the few Chinese I approached all rejected the gospel. But Winnie seemed to have a better result with the Mainlanders. God is always in control.

1) I was led to approach first a Korean who appeared a bit reluctant to chat but still listened on my full gospel sharing.

2) Bento, a half Japanese and half Brazilian declared himself a Catholic Christian. Apparently, he knows little about the Bible and effect or meaning of salvation. I did an assurance of salvation diagnose which eh failed. Clarified anyway with him and he is grateful for this.

3) Helen an UQ student from Java Indonesian but is a Christian, yet she also lacks the assurance of salvation. The bus just arrived as such I could only told Helen the conclusion that our salvation is made true only through the redemptive work of Jesus which is 100% effective to earn us the long-lost heavenly citizenship.

Assurance not 100%

4) Johnny another Brazilian young man coming here to learn how to fly an aeroplane at UQ. He seemingly is not yet a Christian, but he appeared very opened to the gospel and thanked me for it.

5) Then I approached an elderly Aussie man who question me if I am a Jehovah Witness. I said no then I expect he would be happy to chat with me, but curiously, he bet for my pardon to let him be alone to clear his mind which I of course could not reject.

6) Then I approached a Singaporean who declared himself a Christian and had talked with us before, but he seemed to have lack of assurance of salvation which again I only had flash moment to clarify for him before his bus left.

7) Joshua is a local young Aussie. Though he appeared indifferent to the gospel, but he still politely listen to full gospel message.

8 ) Lastly I was led to approach an ABC from Cairns. He is a young man with a stone heart who showed no patience to listen to the Gospel.

Battle Log of Operation 513 for Toowong on Tuesday Nov 15th, 2022 from 1330 – 1500

It was a new period without Johnny who has gone back to Taiwan. Just Hung and Winnie keep partnering at Toowong. It was a scorching high noon with temperature shooting up to over 33C. Thus, the heat had played a negative factor that turned people off for any long conversation. Nevertheless, under such hardship background, God still let us to have nonstop conversations with people of all nations, i.e. Serbia, India x 2, Mongolia, local Aussie, Mainlander Chinese x 4. Recap below is the Battle Log of Hung.

1) First was a lady from Sichuan, , we connected immediately when she knew I had been the earth quake disaster relief team in Sichuan. It was a pity there was not much time for gospel, but she was happy to take a tract with a briefing of the nutshell of the Gospel when the bus arrived.

2) Pac is from Serbia but have been in Australia for 20 years. He is a Christian but not church going. Upon testing he was diagnosed lack full assurance of salvation. He appreciated for my explanation. I recommended him further to join activity of power to change to boost his spiritual life again.

3) Then I approached a tall girl from North Eastern China. She was opened and willing to interact even on religious issues.

4) Then I approached a "girl" but noticed that she has a male voice. "she" anyway was on the phone but was still polite enough to let me know she is not available for chat for the time being.

5) Then I caught up with a man from Jiang So small town. He basically was also receptive to the gospel message.

6) Bateman is from Mongolia doing undergrad. He said he heard the gospel before but he is more in favour for Buddhism. I asserted to him Buddhism and all other religions are good but none can address the issue of sin. He took a tract after we finished and the bus came.

7) Covina is an Indian of Hinduism background. He though being a good person is fine enough and was surprised to know that it is not good enough to wipe clean our sin. He is opened to listen the full gospel.

8 ) Then I approached a young man from Luoyang, Henan China . He was welcoming and receptive initially, but the scorching high noon sun just dried up his patience so I could only left him with the tract.

9) At the end I connected with another Indian Pahoa who was a willing listened but again the heat of the scorching sun got him flatted out. He was too tired to continue on the gospel sharing. So, we finally let go and finished for the day.

Battle Log of Operation 513 for Toowong on Tuesday Nov 8th, 2022 from 1330 – 1500

Today was the last day Johnny was to serve with us at Toowong as he will leave for Taiwan on Friday till February next year. By the grace of God, both Johnny and Winnie got many chances to share the Gospel while I had mixed result to have a few long and fruitful chat but also straight rejections or initial reluctance. Recap below is my Battle Log.

1) A person from Taiwan just got the tract as the bus came

2) Rejected by two

3) Caught up with a Local mature Aussie who was not religious but still opened enough for discussion and took a tract.

4) Rejected by an elderly lady with excuse having a cold.

5) Approached two ABC whose parents are from mainland. They were still ok to have a chat with nutshell of the gospel shared.

6) Thomas is from , China?who had met both Johnny and me recently. I had a long chat to follow up on his understanding of the message we shared last time and explained in the tract. He studied IT at UQ and I asked him to feedback if he found any loophole in the logic of the gospel that we shared and he agreed that it is all sensible and logical and showed great willingness to pursuit.

7) Then I was led to approach an elderly Aussie man with army background wearing a poppy flower. Thanks God allowing enough time for me to use many Army analogies to finish the gospel that otherwise he would have rejected using excuse of not a religious man.

8 ) Last but not the least a caught up with a man from Suzhou who initially rejected to chat as we had many chat before and he thought he had heard enough. But the Spirit softened his heart and ended up revising once again the gospel message with a receptive attitude showing his full understanding of the message I repeated this time.

Battle Log of Operation 513 for Toowong on Tuesday Nov 1st, 2022 from 1330 – 1500

It was yet another amazing day full of amazing grace. After one full bright sunny day yesterday for a Brisbane historic and cultural tour,

there were overnight storm lingering the whole morning while we was doing Bible study. But the sky suddenly turned dry again good for street outreach. Yet spiritually, it was a day full of despise and rejection. However, God's grace was sufficient for us to keep doing our job in a steadfast manner. We were unmerited people but God still used us to convey His blessing to people He elected to stop and listened to the gospel. Recap below is the Battle Log of Hung.

1) The first I approached was a girl from Mainland. She rejected the gospel with a big gesture like facing electric strike bouncing off dramatically.

2) Then I was led to approach a big guy Locky from Melbourne who listened attentively with a smile and took a tract at the end

3) I was led to connect with an Indigenous people from Carine but not yet a Christian. He was interested to know my past involvement with the indigenous people in the outback as such he showed great receptiveness to the same gospel that have already evangelized his own people.

4) Another two rejections. One is an Aussie and one from mainland China.

5) Then I was led to connect with a couple from Xian西安夫婦,who were amazed to find out I visited their home town on a mission. So we started a chat with interactions and finally, Gospel was shared. God obviously must have a plan for them.

7) Lydia from Jie Jiang 浙江,who claimed we chatted before. I asked if she understood the purpose or message of the tract then she could not fully articulate so it gave me the reason to revise the gospel all over again with her until the bus came.

8 ) Then I followed up on a lady who declined to chat with Johnny. I tried a softer approach asking her where about in China. She only indicated she is from the middle kingdom of China 中原 which I guess is Henan Changzhou.,河南鄭州. Eventually she got a tract when the bus came to end our casual chat.

9) Then I caught up with a young man from Czechoslovakia 捷克. But I could only manage to give him a tract 單張 as his bus just arrived.

10) The I faced yet another two rejections by first two mainland girls and then one Aussie longhair young man.

11) Finally, I chatted with a Church going old man, but I did not have time to test his faith status and assurance of salvation.
