Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wednesday 27/1/2021 from 1300 to 1500
It was a quieter day after a spirit anointed day yesterday. But God taught us to be patient and waited for His planned divine encounter opportunity to turn up. Anyway the three of us Andrew, Johnny and Hung still got our chance. For me, All apart from the last one, are divine appointment to train me to do not just the "talk the talk" but also the "walk the walk" . I had to show compassion to share the gospel to walk with the gospel hearer across the foot bridge as they all claimed they were in a hurry but did not mind me to chat with them while we did the walking across the bridge. S0, my six encounters were recap as follows:
1) After many many rejections in the beginning, a Chinese lady stopped to take the tract but immediately asked if this is from Jehovah Witness. Obviously she has been a follower of JHW. I took this chance not just sharing the gospel but hitting on the point that Jesus is God but he incarnated to live as a perfect man and died on the cross for us all taking our place to received the punishment of sin. I trust God will illuminate the darkness spot in her mind to realize Jesus is really the Saviour and the Lord of all.
Then came Ryan an middle aged Aussie. He was very polite and genuinely welcome me to walk and talk with him. He appeared very open and receptive to the gospel.
3) Then I Caught up with two Pakistanis Muslim Tafe students by the name Shani and Muneeb whom we met in Nov 4 & 18. This time they were with a third new friend but he had to hurry for work. I did pray that this was a stepping stone for me to meet them soon to have a proper chat again.
4) Woobi was a senior Hindu man lacking good English level as such having difficulty for communication. But the Spirit moved me to stay put to walk and chat slowly with him in simplest form of English about Jesus. At the end, he seemed to have fully understood who Jesus was and why he died for us and show great appreciation for my sharing. I did thank the Holy Spirit to urge me not to give up on this senior Indian man as perhaps he will hardly have another person willing and daring to chat with him.
5) Then God led another Indian woman by the name Myminya. She walked very fast but surprisingly accept my offer to walk and talk with her about the gospel. I was not sure if she really took heart to listen, but I nevertheless share her the gospel out of obedient to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
6) Then Teresa the Taiwanese student turned up to do here weekly bulk shopping for mailing back to Taiwan to earn her living and Tuition fee. She was happy I greeted her by name. Johnny anyhow took up to have some follow up chat with her while she was waiting for the bus.
7) é‡‘è¼ Fai Kim was a member of the EMP Methodist Church. He passed my two diagnosis tests about assurance of salvation. He actually was members of several other Chinese Churches before ending up at EMP methodist after home relocation. He was surprised to find that I have a wide inter-person network knowing all his past pastors as well as Mark Loi and Gloria Ling the current clergy of EMP Methodist. I think the reason God let us meet was to raise his awareness of the responsibility of all Christians to live out a mission oriented life sharing gospel in our social community circles.
Battle Log by Andrew: On Wednesday at Sunnybank, I joined up with Hung and Johnny to speak to people about Jesus.
Micah, Julian and their other friend are 17 years old and all called themselves Christians. I asked them why God should let them into heaven and they gave me a bunch of Christian clichés, but ultimately they were unsure of the gospel. They regularly attend a church where the Bible is barely referenced, and they admitted that there is not much fruit in their lives to suggest that they are living for Jesus. I walked through the gospel in depth with them and challenged them to consider Jesus’ words about false conversion. They appeared to grasp the gospel and so I called them to examine themselves in truth and make sure that they are saved.
Lucy is from Vietnam and has no real religious background at all. She was not sure that God exists and so I shared how we can know that he is real and why that matters. I then explained that we can only know who God is and what he wants from us if he has spoken to us and how the Bible is his way of speaking. I was then able to share the gospel with her in great depth and showed her why she needs to repent and place her trust in Jesus. She grasped the message well and confessed that if this is true, she is headed for hell, but I reminded her that since this is true, God is merciful and gracious and willing to save her.
Please pray for those who heard the gospel this past Wednesday.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wednesday January 20, 2021 from 1300 - 1500
Following Toowong, the official Street Evangelism at Sunnybank was resumed today. Initially, only Johnny and Hung were there to serve, then Col joined in half an hour later. The team of three was later being paid a visit by Rev Henry and Gloria of Bread of Life Church as a surprise support for the day. Basically the weather condition was superb in comparison to the high noon heat yesterday at Toowong. The general response was however not as good. But we all got some special divine encounters : Johnny chatted with a Buddhist background lady for a long time and eventually the conversation was extended with final good result. It was made possible by Johnny walking the lady to her appointed venue to meet friend at Market Square; Col had a very long chat with a seemingly very rational and argumentative Asian man; Hung met with a Catholic background man from El Salvador where Hung 's father once work there for ten odd years. God does work in His mysterious way to call and save His elected ones by His sovereign power, in His time. Recap below were the few Conversations that Hung had.
1) An Indian girl was lost for direction. I was able to show her direction to Market Square and in the meantime gained an opportunity to share here the nutshell of the gospel before she hurried away for her appointment.
2) After many rejections, God stopped an Espanol guy to have a chat with me. He was in a hurry but still let me share the message of the gospel tract with him. He quickly identified himself as a Christian. So I switched to diagnosis his assurance of salvation. He appeared to have 100% assurance of salvation but stopped short in telling me the reason he is sure going to heaven. Actually, as a Catholic Christian. He completely missed the point and thought it was all gained by his good deeds. He excused to end the conversation as he was really in a hurry, but before we were apart, he told me he is from El Salvador where my father once worked there for over 10 odd years. Because of this remote affiliation , he was happy to take a photo with me. God did send him back to have another short chat to wrap up on the real meaning of salvation by faith through grace in Christ.
El Salvador
3) Then I bumped in with two PNG young brooks from Sunnybank District Baptist Church. They were going to meet with other guys to have a basket ball game. But I still managed to checked upon their assurance of salvation. Again they have 100% assurance but took sometime to give me the correct answer of the reason of salvation was because of Jesus alone. Col actually later caught up with one of the PNG guy on the other side to have a long chat.
4) At the bus stop, I caught up with a Filipino lady. I managed to go through the assurance of salvation test with her but the bus arrival interrupted this attempt.
5) I met Teresa again a Taiwanese girl doing Postage of good back to Taiwan as a means of earning money for her study . Just encouraged her to keep pursuing the faith in Christ.
*) Teresa a Taiwanese student coming here to study but uses her spare time to do bulk purchase for shipping back to Taiwan. I met her on Sep 2, 2020 . She was first approached by Johnny, but quickly we recognized each other and continued on chatting along. She showed great interest in Gospel and asked me to have her more tracts to hand out to her friend. She bided me good bye and looking forwards to meeting me same time next week.
6) Finally I caught up with a Chinese basket baller minding him that the basket ball court may have been fully occupied by the PNG guys. He thanked me for the alert and I took the chance to have a brief gospel sharing with him which he originally declined to stop for Johnny. God has his way to stop anyone even with initial intention of rejection.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wednesday Jan 13, 2021 from 1300 -1500
It was an all time first for street evangelism evangelist like us to wear a mask and chat with people all wearing masks. Andrew invited me to join him to serve in Sunnybank as he anyway had to come to Brisbane South to work in the OAC office and I anyway had to do Narrow Band Light treatment getting pass Sunnybank thus we both made this our excuse to keep serving at this new wave of Covid-19 new virus mutation threat. We just let God to show us if outreach can still be effectively done with imposed restraints by the fear of people contracting the newly mutated virus. It was evidenced that God's work cannot be stopped despite of all those obstacles. Both Andrew and me got similar chances of conversation of different kind of people all wearing masks. Recap below were my chances of outreach which many of them were initial rejection to Andrew's first approach but OK for my 2nd approach : -
1) Two ABK Australian born Koreans missed the bus by just second. I misjudged that their next bus would come many minutes later. After handing them the tract , I wasted sometimes to understand their background but their bus came very quickly when I was about to start the gospel sharing. But considering their positive response and openness to the gospel message, I believed God certainly has His way to start working on them by letting them to read the tract themselves first.
2) The 2nd person was a Japanese man who rejected Andrew's initial approach. I nevertheless still was moved to have a 2nd approach checking if it was because of language problem. Miraculously, he opened up completely to chat with me and quickly let me know he is Japanese but his English is good enough for unhindered two ways communication. I was tempted to share a bit more about my Japanese experience to get identified with him as a Kansai Japanese from Osaka. So I ended up only having limited time for sharing the full Gospel.
3) My third gospel target was a Hongkonger(港人),despite this coonection 縦如是,this person was very unwilling to open up for a chat.ä¸é¡˜æ‰“開,He claimed he once chatted with some other OPN 513 colleagues, got the tract and read it with fair good understanding, so he did not want to waste time to go over it again. Obviously the was cheating himself and was as far away from Jesus before he read the tract. I anyway still chose to stay in a friendly mode to induce him to show me his real understanding of the gospel. I failed but still manage to brief him again the nutshell of the gospel( ç°¡è¿°). Just pray for God's work to soften this man's stone heart.
4) Then I bumped into with Nanny Yim 嚴婆婆 who claimed she and her other family members are all Christians living in Cleveland area. I was surprised when she told me she once visited CFC and quoted a number of names that I did not recognized initially. I anyway first managed to stress the importance of assurance of salvation before the bus arrived. after a while , I finally came to my sense she referred to Amy Yim and her daughter Nicole who did once played piano for us. I pray that she may be moved to visit CFC again in His time.
5) A Couples Hong Kongers possibly still courting. It was a pity they were not friendly for an unhindered chat. It was weird to find out that the girl claimed herself a Buddhist while the boy friend claimed himself a Christian. He asked me in return whether I am protestant or Catholic Christian to show off his Christian knowledge. But his lack of Christian witness to not bearing the same yoke with non-believers already sold him out. I tried a bit longer to try to test out his understanding of salvation but failed as he turned to have his personal conversation with his girl friend.
6) Then God led me to speak to a Mandarin speaking young man from China. Surprisingly he was very open and receptive to the Gospel. He thanks me for the gospel sharing and promised to read the tract in detail when his bus arrive. It made my day for a positive result when I called off for the day to leave for my Narrow Band Light treatment appointment.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wednesday January 6, 2021 from 1300 to 1500
Despite it was still the "New Year Rest Period" for Street Evangelism at Sunnybank and Toowong, I still went to join Andrew who decided to turn up after his OAC office work in the morning. We stayed together at the Bus Stop on the west side near Sunnybank Plaza, We both got many chat opportunities while having short break to allow us to take photo for each others. Today, God led majority of Cantonese speaking people to hear the gospel with a rare exception of an African man and a girl of Australian/Japanese cross breed. God definitely has His special plan and election of those to hear the gospel for their goodness sake. The weather was as hot as yesterday, but Andrew and I had no time to bother about the heat but concentrated on catching up with people for gospel seed sowing work as recap below: -
1) MY first target was an African man. He half jokingly asked me to not waste time on him but talked to some body else. Despite of this, I did not give up but relate to him as a person first to remove the self protection armor. Although full gospel had not yet been shared on arrival of his bus. Nut I was sure the love of God might have been impart to this man.
2) The Vietnamese old man was the person that the African man refer me to have a chat. SO naturally I caught up with him after the African man left. Despite he is a Vietnamese, yet he can speak perfect Cantonese as he had spent long time in Hong Kong. He is a man of rationality emphasizing that there is no absolute right or wrong as it is determined by the individual life perspective and personal experience. I pointed out to him that exactly because we all rejected God and live a self centred life, it appeared there is not absolute truth and rigid definition of universal core values. But God our creator did have set His law through the Bible. Failing to observe God's law will end up committing sin against Him which needed to be judged and punished. The Nutshell of Gospel has accordingly been conveyed this elderly Vietnamese man.
3) A family of three possibly from Beijing consisting of the Mum and an elder son called Siu Hwa and a much younger brother took their seat at the bus stop. Before they entered into their family chat, I intercept and talked to Siu Hua and he was quite open to talk unlike most of the people from Mainland China. The bus scheduled arrival allowed me 6 minutes to share the full gospel to Siu Hua who appeared very receptive. Pray for God's blessing for this family starting from Siu Hua.
4) Three High School (三高ä¸) girls did their transit at his bus stop. Again I intercepted their conversation and was able to chat with the one sitting next to me. She is from Shenzhen (深圳的妹) who looks more simple and pure from her dress in compare to her two friends both in more fancy dress and made up. She showed good interest (有興趣) in the gospel message and indicated this is her first time hearing the gospel. I trust God will have further work on her then here friends while they are still in Australia ,
5) Then I met my next two targets who are both from HKG(香港二人),Andrew jokingly said one of the guy looks like a mini Hung with same dressing of mine symbolized by our vest. (他郷é‡æ•…知) It was a pity we only have very brief time to chat but I left them each a Chinese Tract and English one.
6) Nina looked to have a western looking face profile. Normally young Aussie show little interest in religious topic. But she appeared very friendly and opened as such I was able to go through the full gospel presentation. Then she disclosed she actually is half Japanese(Mum) and half Aussie (Dad) and her father is a Christian, yet she has no knowledge whatsoever about the gospel, so obviously her father only keeps his faith to his own personal life without sharing with the wider public including his family members.
But I believe the divine encounter with this Aussie/Japanese cross breed girl will open up a new page of life for this young and beautiful girl.
7) Then after being Rejected by a Chinese woman, God let me catch up with another Chinese woman to chat. She appeared open to the gospel but it was a pity the bus came too quick to have interrupted the chat.
8) Finally I caught up with an arrogant and self-righteous old Chinese Christian also from Hong Kong. He use the excuse he is readily a baptized Christian to decline further conversation. I tried to use the two diagnosis questions to review his state of faith and assurance of salvation. Unfortunately, he refused to answer and reiterated he is all good. But I really have doubt if he is a fake Christian from mainland China but claiming he is from HK.
Battle Log for Sunnybank by Andrew: -
On Wednesday, Pastor Hung and I again headed out to talk to people about Jesus at Sunnybank and though there were several good conversations, it was the final one that was most encouraging.
Shung Hui is 21 years old from a Chinese background and shared that he had no real religious upbringing. He had heard a few things about Christianity before but not really understood why it mattered. I shared the gospel with him at length and he came to clearly see how Jesus’ death on the cross is the much needed answer to our guilt.
Larry only heard half the gospel before his bus came, but he was intrigued enough that he said that he would read the tract immediately once he was on the bus.
Voiter is 29 years old and from Poland, and like most, was raised Catholic. We took some time to make sense of the gospel and to show how God would be just in condemning us, but how he extends the offer of forgiveness to us because of the finished work of Jesus. I challenged him to consider the claims of Christianity because ultimately, we will all die.
Helen is 78 years old and has some Christian upbringing and beliefs, but trusted that she was a good enough person to get to heaven. We talked through the commands and we both agreed that if God is good, we were all in big trouble because we have all done bad things. I then showed why it makes no sense to hope in the good things we have done because those good deeds can never erase our sins. At this point she said that she just needed to hope that God would be merciful even though she could see no reason why he would. I then explained how Jesus’ death on the cross solves our problem and how God’s offer of forgiveness needs to be received. I showed that mere belief in God was not sufficient and that we instead need to repent and place our trust in what Jesus did for us. Though it was hard for her to consider, she admitted that there was a good chance that she was not saved but that from that moment she intended to no longer trust in her goodness but in the finished work of Jesus! I encouraged her to read John’s gospel and she said that she really wanted to do that as soon as possible.
Please pray for all those who heard the gospel and the many who took tracts. May God save many for his own name’s sake!

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wednesday Dec 30, 2020 form 1300 -1500
The Sunnybank team original planned to stop for two weeks during the Christmas and New Year period. But Andrew still felt the urge to come to do street evangelism therefore I went as well to form team partnership with Andrew. Despite of our enthusiasm or apostolic passion to serve the Lord, God did not stop the down pouring of rain in the beginning hours with lighter rain lingering throughout the whole afternoon, possibly it was a special training for both of us to live out the teaching of Paul in the Bible of 2 Timothy 4:2 "Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction."
Apart from the bad weather condition, the reaction of the targets were predominantly cold and rejective. Brother Andrew and I got many rejections. By the mercy of God, Andrew finally got several long talks. As for me, I had many short and scattered chats amidst the major trend of general rejection as recap below.
1) God led me to locate the first person being a young man from Hong Kong who has no faith but an open mind to hear the gospel. He found it logical and sensible and promise to take a serious thought of it.
2) Then I was able to chat to a Chinese girl who initially appeared reluctant, but still took the tract. But my gospel sharing was cut short by the arrival of the bus.
3) Then I noticed a Chinese couple trying to check the bus schedule on the hard copy list as such they originally have not heart to listen to the gospel when approached by Andrew. But did them a favor to guide them to check up the schedule on the electronic board . I gained flavorsome to share gospel to the man while the woman show great non-interest. Thanks God that the man politely let me finish the sharing until the bus came.
4)Then an English lady rejected me first but after sitting down then I could have a chat sharing teh nutshell of eh gospel to here before the bus came.
5) Then Isiah got off from the bus but took his seat to wait for the easing of the rain so I had a chance to chat with him. It was found that he is a far dinkum Christian who have 100% assurance of salvation.
6) Sirus from HK also showed great receptiveness to the gospel.
7) I shared with the mum of the Hung Family (洪家) from Taiwan with all other members including the dad and two daughters on watch listening.(å…‰è½) She at the ned claimed she is a Buddhist, but I appeal to them that Buddhism is good but stop short at teaching people to be a good person but not resolving the issue of sin. She politely promised she will ponder on this issue later.
8) Another Taiwanese woman å¦ä¸€å°ç£å©¦ saw me doing street evangelism so she looked at me as if asking me to share the gospel to her. I did, but once touched on the subject of sin, she could not listen any more and cut the conversation. I still trust there is God's work in her life because of this divine encounter.
9) A Local Aussie heading for garden city , he kept popping up the arriving bus to ask where it goes while I share him the gospel. I could not but cut it short and let go.
10) Then I approached again another Chinese boy and girl friends couple. The man was ok and willing to chat but the girl appeared very offensive even resorting to walking away. It forced the boy friend to follow her to leave chatting with me.
11) Then a talked to an Aussie girl who quickly declared she is a Christian and was tested to have 100% assurance of salvation.
12) An Old Aussie man took the tract had a look but declined to chat when her wife showed no interest to listen.
13) Two girls from North Easter China æ±åŒ—,with one studying at Griffith and a younger one at Indooroopilly High school. They initially still was OK to chat with me but appeared fearful once touched on faith.
14) Hee is a Malaysian English speaking UQ student who has no faith. But he show great openness to hear the gospel and appeared quite receptive to the salvation of Jesus Christ.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wednesday December 23, 2020 from 1300 to 1500
Today God let us experience a prayer immediately answered. I was asked to do the opening prayer. I prayed in particular for good team work which God did make it happen the way as it was amongst Andrew, Johnny and Hung. We stayed close together, but God used us as a team while we all got our individual divine chatting opportunities to have long enough talk without exception. The kind of team work stood out in case NO 2 of my battle log that I shared below.
1) Anson from Hong Kong, an UQ year one student. He is not yet a believer but a faith seeker. He has done research on several faith but still could not reach a conclusion. My complete sharing of the Gospel which seems so ordinary like nothing too much different from my other sharing but seemed to have an impact to Anson who showed more willingness if not resolve to pursue Christianity. Since he is Cantonese speaking and live in South Bank, so I recommend him to attend Living Water Alliance Church and meantime contact Power to change to keep pursuing the truth of Christianity. His change of attitude from alienation and emotionally too objective to more soften and open up and sensitive to the work of the spirit is evidenced by his willingness to take a selfie with me.
2) Alice from Shandong(å±±æ±),Scilla From Anfei( 安徽),Maggie from Quanfxi (廣西) they squeezed through Andrew who was chatting with two persons with Johnny on watching. Johnny recognized Alice who was his home stay resident when she got pass them so Johnny gave her a light tap on her shoulder yet she did not response but kept walking with her two friends down the footbridge towards me standing on the ground level of the bridge. Despite I saw they ignored Johnny, I nevertheless still felt compelled to hand them Christmas tract while greeting them "Merry Christmas" They had initial rejection but I appealed to them that no one will reject festivities blessing so they all received a tract from me. It gave me the stepping stone to throw the question of Origin of "Merry" Christmas to them with Maggie alone to response to me. Since they showed no sign to stop for a chat. I felt the Spirit wanted me to walk a while with them to at least share the reason why Christmas is being greeted with "Merry. Maggie showed genuine interest to understand and found it amazing. Alice and Scilla kept chatting between them in front of us. But when we arrived at the traffic light and the light had turned green for them to go. Alice suddenly turned around to say to me that she might have bumped into her home stay host Johnny. I said you were right and point them to God who really made a divine encounter for us to meet and share the real meaning of Christmas and the important to repent and receive Christ. Actually I learned later from Johnny that Alice has been expelled by Mary from Johnny's home, so Alice really has no need to let me know about this. So It was so obvious the work of God to show to Alice and Scilla that nothing happened by chance but everything work for God for the benefit of His chosen ones.
3) Extraordinarily, I kept bumping into people from Mainland China who use to avoid chatting with us. But A young man by the name Chen 陳 from Jiang Xi (江西) who was reluctant to chat as he claimed he is a baptized Christian who received Christ in Singapore. He failed my Diagnostic questions showing uncertainty of salvation but thought he needs not keep pursuing the Truth of Christianity, which is a typical sign of Christian without a genuine born again life. (基ç£å¾’但無生命) I advised him that receiving Christ is just the beginning of God's salvation package for us and we must not stay making no spiritual growth. I trust my words bear weight to urge Chen to join Power To Change and attend Church Sunday Service
for his spiritual growth sake. He said Hi to me to show his gladness for the sharing on his way back from some errand passing by us.
4) Then God stopped Lucy from Henan æ²³å—. She initially declined politely to talk as she did not feel the need. But after my sharing of the Gospel and my own testimony, The Holy Spirit moved her to admit that she should follow her family members who are all Christians back in China to pursue God and accept Jesus as saviour. (èµ·åˆè¦šå¾—ä¸éœ€, 但è–éˆæ”¹è®Šå¥¹ï¼Œæ˜¯åŸºç£å®¶æ—背景)
5) I heard the two women chatting in Cantonese. So I was able to connect with them and handed them the tracts for a breif sharing of Gospel before the bus arrived.
6) Bevery is a fair Dinkum Christian passing my two diagnosis questions. We had a mutually edifying conversation in our faith.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wednesday December 16, 2020 from 1300 -1500
The weather continued to be fine with Sunny sky but not so hot sunshine. Andrew joined us a bit late as such we failed to have a team photo together, but two with either Johnny or Andrew working. It was also a rare days of many long conversations for both Johnny and Andrew more or less over an hour. God might have His plan for Richard from China , an atheist and the Girl chatting with Andrew to unlock many of her questions about God and life. They started chatting standing on the footbridge, then sitting down on the bridge and eventually moving over to the bench near the bus stop to continue their mind blowing yet exhausting talk.
As for me, I only got 12 small and scattered talk as recap below but I trusted that the Lord still could use it for a purpose.
1) The first Couple from China Mr Suen they appeared very polite and open to have a chat. We did talk about the reason for the season is Jesus and the meaning of "Merry" Christmas. before the bus came. (å«è€å¤«å©¦ä¸¶å¾ˆå’Œæ°£)
2) Then came an Aussie mum with two kids, a boy and a girl. I stopped the girl from running two fast and far away from her Mum and gave her a Christmas tract. With this as an ice breaking gesture, I posted to the busy mum the question of "Merry" Christmas gimmick. It gave me the lead to share further the nutshell of Gospel just in time before the bus came.
3) A man from Shanghai who was not very open although he still reluctantly took a Christmas tract. All I could do was to share him the nutshell of the Gospel as soon as possible before the bus came.(上海人。ä¸æ˜¯å¾ˆé–‹æ”¾)
4) An African man on his bike with bulk of luggage making him like a World traveler ? But on a second look , he was a collector of empty plastic bottle to earn meager money for his living. So he is literally a survivor of life. God did not move me to stop him but gave him a tract. He stopped his bike and took the tract. I pray that this will open up his mind not only for material good for day to day survival but has a glimpse of the eternal need of salvation through Jesus Christ.
5) Then I met another elderly couple but chatted mainly with the husband Mr Tao(曹大哥) He is a suburban security guard in Mainland China (陸上å°å€ç®¡ç†),I started off by mentioning "merry" Christmas which successfully aroused his interest to chat. He claimed having knowledge of the Christian gospel though himself is of Buddhism background.佛教背景 He proudly shared about his heroic record saving people life. This possibly was a response to my question Would a Good Person be fine for Heaven. Because of this I did not have time to finish the gospel sharing. Can only let go and leave it to God's hand.
7) A Korean couples took the tract, stayed for a short chat, but excused for reason of limited English.
8) Linda is a Korean Christian who did not show her Christian background but listened quietly with little responses or interaction. It was found out that she has no problem to understand but also limited speaking ability. Once found that she is a Christian, I gave her the diagnosis test for Assurance of salvation which she passed fair and square to show that she is a fair dinkum Christian.
9) Christina and Liam were local Aussie boy and girl friends. They are very gentle, polite and receptive listening to the gimmick of merry x mas followed by the good person test. The showed good understanding and indicated willingness to pursue and accept Jesus.
10) A fat guy was attracted by my "merry" Christmas gimmick but after that still turned down my further sharing of the gospel.
11) Levi is from Ipswich and was in a rush. I walked him across the footbridge and shared him the nutshell of gospel which he found very positive.
12) An Aussie old lady was walking with me and Levi for a short while on the foot bridge until our faster pace left her behind. But she did listen for a short while how I share the gospel to Levi. And I got a thumb up from her after I let Levi go and she picked up the pace to meet me again. It was a kind of encouragement unexpectedly from God through this lovely lady.
On Wednesday at Sunnybank there were several great conversations where people seemed to grasp the gospel and what it means to follow Jesus.
Dan, Marco & Nathaniel are from a Coptic Orthodox background and when I asked them about the afterlife, they said they hoped to go to heaven. I asked them why God should let them into heaven, but they all expressed that they doubted they would be going. I asked them about the commandments, and they were able to name 8 out of the 10, but like everyone else, they hadn’t kept even one. I then shared the good news with them and explained why Jesus dying on the cross was such great news and what we must do to receive the gift of eternal life. I asked them again where they would be going and they all pointed downward. I challenged them that God had offered forgiveness through Jesus and that they should get right with him that moment because they could not guarantee they had another day. They thanked me and all took tracts to read.
Tanisha is 20 years old and from a Vietnamese Catholic background. She was very unsure of what comes next and how we can know and so I shared that what we needed was a divine source of information. We talked through God’s existence and then I shared what God has said about the afterlife. We were progressing really well, but as we got to the end of the gospel, she came over very faint and had to lie down! For the next 30 minutes I looked after her at the bus stop until she felt safe to get on the bus and head home.
Samuel is 25 years old and was raised in a Mormon family. He is intrigued by the idea of the afterlife but had found his experience in the Mormon religion left him a bit jaded. He was very keen to get answers and so we talked through the gospel at length and I showed him how the works based understanding of salvation cannot possibly save us and how Jesus alone pays our debt. He asked some really great questions and so I showed him how the whole Bible is grounded in history. I then talked him through the threads of redemption and sacrifice that run through the whole Bible and he was astonished that the Bible was more than nice stories. I asked him if he had a Bible and gave him an ESV Gospel of John. He quickly skimmed a couple of pages and was amazed at how much easier it was to read than the King James used by the Mormon religion. He was very excited by the whole conversation and thanked me several times!
Please pray for each of those folks who heard the gospel and especially that God would cause them to have saving faith.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wednesday Dec 9, 2020 from 1300 to 1500
Andrew possibly was still caught up at Chinchilla for training. Instead God moved Gary to come with three big Gospel Signs to team up with Johnny and Hung. Today we served basically on the Eastern side of main road outside of the car park of Sunny Park. Again there was good team work amongst us that we swapped position when one of us was led to chat with some one away from our primary post. All of us had got many conversations. For me I had 5 conversations which were obviously spirit led divine appointments as recap below: -
1) Brendon’s a handsome Aussie boy was waiting for his girl friend, it gave me time to share the full gospel to him. He claimed he knows the gospel but don’t like organized religion. However, he admitted gospel itself is sensible, logical and convincing enough for anyone to accept. He still repeat his problem of not accepting to follow any organized religious activity. It was a pity I could not further our discussion on his religious Phobia complex as his girl friend arrived.
2) A couple boy & girl friend declined the tract from Johnny but the boy accept my tract when they passed by me. An hour later they returned but did not stop though the boy promised he will read the tract.
3) A lady by the name Julie from Taiwan was in a hurry but I still managed to walk her across the foot bridge. After hearing the nutshell of Gospel, she declared she is Christian attending St Mark Lutheran Church. So I switched to test her assurance of salvation which she failed initially. Yet after clarification ,she understood and assured me now that she has 100% assurance of salvation.
4) Messi and other two High School students are from Beijing. They could not go home for the summer holiday because of Covic-19. They form small community group to live together and support each others. Initially, they were not taking it too seriously but God soften their heart especially Messi. I appealed to them to accept Jesus by faith which is even more important than their high school study with life long impact to them and their family.
5) Then I followed up approaching a group of four teenagers Aussie after Johnny and Gary have had a go. They appeared not taking the gospel message seriously but joking around making fun of Jesus. I stood my ground to show them this is a serious life and death issue if they do not realize they are sinner and will be subject to eternal death punishment unless they accept Jesus as their saviour to have died for their sins. Some of them started to change their attitude and respond to the gospel when the bus came. So, I can only let go and leave God to follow up on them.
6) 方俊雅 is a cheerful young girl from Shen Zhen深圳, China。She was locating the bus stop to go home as she has just moved up from the Gold Coast. Gary might have approached her but ignored by her as she was still busy in locating the bus stop on her iphone. Thus when I tried to approach her, she shook her head without looking at me. I asked why she shook her head even without looking up to know who was trying to talk to her. Then I noticed the reason of her frustration and quickly helped her to locate the bus stop on Mc McCullough Road outside Time Square. I offered to walk her to the bus stop to ensure she will not lose her way home. Then we started this longest conversation from 1445 to 1500. I found out that she is from a Christians Family in China, but she does not attend church as frequent and regularly as her Christian Nanny. After coming to Australia, she first studied and lived in teh Gold Coast. Her friend brought her to attend Gold Coast Logos Christian Church. And possibly she will be introduced to one of the Logos congregation in Brisbane. In term of salvation, she is clear about her assurance of salvation but not clear about the reason was because of Jesus and him alone through his atoning death apart from believing in God. God used me to give here a big discipleship lesson until her bus come.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wednesday Dec 2, 2020 from 1300 to 1500
It was another day of grace to serve God without the usual team support by Johnny as he is still away on a family leisure trip. Instead, God moved Andrew to keep joining me at Sunnybank. We formed great teamwork by taking different strategic positions. Andrew stationed at the foot of the pedestrian bridge where he can get longer conversations. I take position at the bus stop with more chances to share but are of short conversation because of the frequent arrival of buses. Some people took a tract from Andrew but did not stop yet coming directly to the bus stop. I can then target them especially those who were moved to read the tract immediately at the bus stop. Another thanks giving point was that there was shade and good breeze on the eastern side of the foot bridge despite weather forecast projected a higher temperature over 35c. Recap below are the 10 divine appointments I had today.
1)Mr Fong æ–¹ whom I met frequently here at Sunnybank, but I never was told he is a Christian as my question for him about salvation shows he was alost ignorance about salvation. But today I greeted him and care about the scar line on his head caused by a open head operation. I induced him to think about eternal life issue as temporal life is vulnerable. å‹•é 手術, æ›´ç惜生命
Then he told me he is a Christian of a very prominent denomination in HKG (The Evangelical church of HKG香港æ’铿œƒ),He had to attend a medical appointment so I had to let him go and pray for next time to strengthen his faith.
2)倚綺 Ekky is a Malaysian Chinese é¦¬è¯ from KL. She could speak 5 language including Cantonese, so we can have a very stress free chat in our own local dialect. she has no faith and seemingly first time hearing the gospel. But she found it sensible and logical. She did not rush to leave even when her bus arrived and let me continue to do my wrap up. As a result, I had more time to share with her and hopefully, God will move her to take her first step of faith in no time.
3) Then I was rejected by an old and young man which was also within our prayer that may the Spirit lead us to waste no time on those who overtly reject the Gospel.
4) Then I shared with Ah Lin é˜¿ç³ from Hong Kong 香港. So again I can speak in my mother tongue. She showed no obvious sense of rejection of the Gospel despite she very soon indicated she is a Buddhist. 佛教徒. The bus came very quickly 車到太快, so I only managed to share her the nutshell of the Gospel.
5) Then came two young man å…©é’年,one of them took a tract from Andrew . So I hook up with him and volunteer to discuss the tract with him. He showed genuine willingness to listen but the arrival of the bus cut short this divine appointement.願æ„è½ä½†è»Šå¾ˆå¿«ä¾¿åˆ°äº†. Trust God may have His follow up work.
6) Lee, possibly from Taiwan was polite when I approached him. But again there was not enough time to share as his bus came very quickly. Pray that God has His follow up work.
7) Rebecca is from Eastern Malaysia. She has no faith but show interest to listen. Again just have limited time to touch on the nutshell of the Gospel.
8) Stephen has an Indian look but he has a Filipino Mum and an Aussie Dad of Christian Family ground. But he doesn't go to church any more hope being discouraged by below par Christian witness. At the end, he joyously decided he should attend church again. It is a new start for him.
9) An UQ student Zhang 張,from æ±åŒ— China ,He said some OPN 513 guy talked to him at King George Square. I went through the gospel message with him again and introduced him to join Power to Change.
10) Finally John a big guy but behaved politely. He listened to my gospel sharing with patience, but at the end he told me he was once Christian now Muslim. It was a pity I did not have any more time to clarify the reason of the switch and bring him back to the core message of the Gospel.
Battle Log by Andrew
On Wednesday at Sunnybank, there were a couple of great conversations where people grasped the gospel.
A pair of 17 year old young guys who attend a Christian school stopped to chat. They knew a lot about the gospel but were very unsure why God should let them into heaven. I took them through the law and was just starting to go through the gospel when their bus came, but both took tracts and thanked me for stopping them.
Declan called himself a Christian but when I asked about what would get him to heaven, he appealed to his own good works. I ran him through the gospel at length and eventually shared that I was very concerned that he was not saved because he was trusting in the wrong thing to save him. He admitted that even though he used the label, he was not a “good Christian” and had not been to church in a long time and no longer owned a Bible. I was able to provide him a Bible from the Bible Society Australiaand also pointed him to a good church.
Francis was raised a bit religious but admitted he was pretty sceptical about it all. We talked through how we know that God exists and then through the gospel at length. After I took him through the law, he agreed that we are all not good enough to get to heaven. I shared what Jesus had done and about how he calls us to surrender to his rule. He seemed to grasp the gospel well and said that he now had a lot to consider.
Please pray for these guys and the many more who received tracts.

Operation 513 Battle Log for Sunnybank on Wednesday Nov 25, 2020 from 1300 -1500
It was an eventful day but also full of wonder and grace. Johnny initially planned to come a bit later but he got a flat tyres on his way to Sunnybank. So I was left alone but God was good to send Andrew to come to partner with me at the Wes side of the foot bridge. It was a very good partnership, starting with a good opening prayer and later on rendering mutual support including the photo shooting.
Today I had a very smooth day, apart from a very first rude rejection by a mainlander woman, all my subsequence approach are friendly, receptive and fruitful proven by three selfies with my three gospel target. ONe of these were a couples who are a known friend of my brother -in -law and heard of my existence in Brisbane as a pastor. So all encounters were really a divine appointment with God's hidden purpose behind.
Here are the recap of my
1) Madam Wong from Guangzhou 廣州 knows Hk very well. I wasted some time to serve as ice breaker and was only able to share the nutshell of the Gospel to her before the bus came.
2) Elle a young lady from Beijing doing UQ study. She was very polite and receptive and listen to the gospel with full attention and great interest. She did not even want to get on the bus that had arrived only after I asked her if her bus had arrived. Certainly, I could see and feel a ripe soil for the gospel to bear fruit in here heart.
3) Tony and Sinfonia look like Chinese from Indonesia. But I overheard them speaking Cantonese so I approached them and found they are also from Hong Kong. They seems to be religious and showed receptive attitude to the Gospel. So I asked if they followed any religion and they said yes and is a Japanese kind of Taoism called 天ç†æ•™. This is the religion of my brother-in-law who became a pious follower after this Japanese faith organization offered him a scholarship to study Japanese in Nagoya. The couples responded with great astonishment that they are good friend of Perry my brother-in-law. With this miraculous encounter, I wasted no time to share the gospel before the bis arrived. Let's pray if God will give me another divine encounter with this couples in the near future or perhaps in the next visit of Perry to Brisbane.
4) Eric a UQ student from Taiwan who was very receptive to the Gospel. I referred him to Power to Change no matter if he may wish to accept Christ now or not.
5) An Aussie Mum Cherry also appeared very friendly. It was a pity my sharing was cut short by the timely arrival of the bus.
6) Mr Li æŽ from mainland China. But he exceptionally taking the initiative to pull me aside to let me share the gospel to him. He admitted the message is very sensible, logical and convincing but I let him make his decision at his private time. I also referred him to join "Power to change. I met him a bit later when he finished his errand and wait for the returning bus. I took his photo there.
7) An old lady from Hongkong who showed half heart at the gospel message. She came to Australia around 80. Pray that God keeps giving her divine encounter before she run out of time.
8) Keane another genuine abc whose parents are from Taiwan. He has Christian back ground and know all Ins and Outs about Christianity. He agreed with the gospel I shared just falling short to let the seed to grow and budding.
9) Nelson an Sri Lanka man who appeared very polite and was positive to gospel. It was a pity the divine encounter was cut short by the bus but I am sure God's work on him will not be in vain.
Battle Log of Andrew:
On Wednesday at Sunnybank, I initially found the afternoon discouraging, as many people I tried to speak to would not stay and talk, however, as the afternoon progressed, there were two brilliant conversations that left me rejoicing!
One young man whose English was very poor used Google Translate's image software to translate the tract so that he could read it!
Jackson was the only decent conversation of the earlier part of the afternoon. He was not religious at all but listened really well as I shared the message of the gospel with him.
Emily is 20 years old and is here from China studying nursing. She had heard of some Christian ideas before and said that her housemate has a Bible, but did not really know much about what Christians believe at all. She listened very carefully as we talked through the gospel at length and grasped clearly what the Bible says about our eternity. She understood that we are not good according to God’s standard and that Jesus died for sinners like us. The expression on her face as I shared what Jesus had done indicated that this was impacting her deeply. She thanked me for taking the time to share the gospel with her and gladly took a couple of different tracts.
When I asked Carla about where she would go when she died, she said she would go to heaven and that she was a Christian. She joked that she didn’t look like one because her arms, legs and even neck were covered in tattoos! She was going to keep walking, but I asked her a follow up question or two and it quickly became obvious to both of us that there were some really big gaps in her understanding. While she knew many facts about Christianity, her trust seemed to be primarily in her self-identification as a Christian. I stepped through the gospel and she had no issue identifying herself as a sinner but then as we talked through how Jesus’ death on the cross saves us, she seemed to grasp the message. We then talked about how receiving the gift of forgiveness means that we must be willing to surrender rule of our life and place our trust not in our good works or religious activities, but only in the finished work of Jesus. I asked her again where she would go if she died today, and she admitted that she had not understood and that to this point, she had not surrendered and placed her trust in Jesus. I pleaded with her to consider the urgency of being made right with God and she said that this was something that she desperately needed to do. She allowed me to take a selfie with her and told her that I would use it to encourage people to pray for her, so please do pray for her to surrender to Jesus!
Pray for Carla, Emily, Jackson and the many others who heard part of the message or received tracts.
